What the hell is this?

YubiBBS is a real Synchronet BBS running on FreeBSD, front-ended by OpenSSH and FIDO2 hardware authentication.

There are no BBS passwords. Your registered hardware security key identifies your account.

It is an intentionally ridiculous combination of modern hardware-backed authentication and technology whose basic concept predates the Web.
